Skagen Falster 3 officially announced

Denmark-based Skagen has announced a new version of their Wear OS smartwatch with the Falster 3.

“The Falster 3 represents everything SKAGEN stands for: beautiful, design-focused products that are functional for the way people live,” says Hacker Plotkin, VP of SKAGEN.

Just like the Falster 2 in 2018, the new watch continues Skagen’s minimalist design. There are three buttons on the Falster 3, the middle one acts as a home button and the other two can be used to launch apps and activate shortcuts.

The Falster 3 comes with a 1.3-inch full round AMOLED display with a PPI of 328. The case is 42mm and is 11mm thick and works with 22mm straps and bracelets.

Powering the Falster 3 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 3100 processor along with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. There’s also an upgraded heart rate monitor, microphone, speaker, NFC for Google Pay.

In terms of battery life, the Falster 3 should last around 1-2 days (depending on usage), it also has smart battery modes that will help extend the watch’s battery life. It also supports rapid charging which gets you 80% battery life in just 50 minutes.

There’s Bluetooth and Wi-Fi on-board and it’s swim-proof up to 3 ATM. As for colour options, the Falster 3 comes in Black Silicone, Blue Silicone, Gunmetal Steel Mesh, and Leather – Silicone Backed.

The Skagen Falster 3 is available now for $390 CAD ($295 USD).
