HP announces the new Spectre x360 15, Envy AiO & more at CES 2020

At CES 2020, HP has made a couple of announcements including an updated Spectre x360 15, Elite Dragonfly, Envy AiO 32 and more.

HP Spectre x360 15″ (2020)

HP has made the screen on their Spectre x360 15-inch even bigger by reducing the bezels and offering a 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Despite the thinner bezels, the IR camera for Windows Hello has also been shrunken down to just 2.2mm. There’s also a webcam kill switch for enhanced privacy.

The new Spectre x360 comes with HP Fast Charge that gets you 50% battery in 30 minutes. HP says you should get up to 17 hours of battery life in their 4K display model.

Powering the new Spectre x360 is the 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. The laptop also comes with an Ink Certified Pen and the Nvidia MX330 or up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1650 Ti Max-Q.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Intel Core i7-10510U – 8GB RAM – 256GB SSD – 4K Touch – $1,599 USD
  • Intel Core i7-10510U – 16GB RAM – 512GB SSD – 4K OLED Touch – $1,699 USD
  • Intel Core i7-10510U – 16GB RAM – 1TB SSD – 4K OLED Touch – $1,899 USD

The new Spectre x360 15 is set to ship at the end of March 2020. The new laptop will launch in Canada in April and start at $1,499 CAD.

HP Envy AiO 32

Alongside the new Spectre x360, HP also announced the Envy 32 All-in-One which is the first PC with an HDR600 display and first All-in-One with Nvidia RTX graphics.

The Envy AiO 32 has a 31.5-inch display with 600 nits of brightness, 6000:1 contrast ratio and 92.8% screen-to-body ratio.

Powering the Envy AiO 32 is up to a 9th Gen Intel Core i7 processor with up to 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. There’s also dual monitor support over Thunderbolt 3 and HDMI out.

For graphics, the Envy AiO 32 can be equipped with an Nvidia GTX 1650 or an Nvidia GTX 2060.

The Bank & Olufsen speaker system includes 2 tweeters, woofer for bass, 2 passive radiators and 2 medium drivers.

Pricing is as follows:

  • Intel Core i5-9400 – 16GB RAM – 1TB HDD – $1,599 USD
  • Intel Core i5-9400 – 16GB RAM – 256GB SSD/1TB HDD – Nvidia GTX 1650 – $1,899 USD
  • Intel Core i7-9700 – 16GB RAM – 512GB SSD/1TB HDD – Nvidia RTX 2060 – $2,299 USD
  • Intel Core i7-9700 – 32GB RAM – 1TB SSD – Nvidia RTX 2060

The Envy AiO 32 is available now in the US. It is set to launch in April with a starting price of $2,799 CAD.

HP Elite Dragonfly

For the business users, HP has got you covered with their Elite Dragonfly laptop.

The new Elite Dragonfly weighs under 1kg and is made from 82% recycling materials including magnesium chassis, DVDs, keycaps and bezels plastics.

You can expect up to 24 hours of battery life and charges over USB-C.

Powering the new Elite Dragonfly is the 10th Gen Intel Core processors up to an i7. It can be configured with up to a 2TB SSD and 16GB of RAM.

The Elite Dragonfly is also the first laptop with (optional) Tile technology built-in. That means you can easily track your device if you lose it.

There are two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, USB 3.1 Gen 1, headphone jack and a nano-SIM card slot for 5G capabilities.

The new Elite Dragonfly is set to launch in February 2020. The 5G version of the Elite Dragonfly is set to launch this summer.

HP Renew Series

HP Renew Series

The Elite Dragonfly isn’t HP only product made from recycled materials. The company also announced its HP Renew Series of accessories.

The HP Renew Sleeve is made from post-consumer plastic bottles that were knit to shape with minimal manufacturing waste. The sleeve can fit up to a 13-inch laptop and it’s machine washable.

The HP Renew Sleeve is set to launch in April for $59 USD.

HP will also be offering a backpack, laptop bag and tote in their Renew Series. Each product will have water-resistant materials, fits laptops up to 15.6-inches and vegan leather handles.

The rest of the HP Renew series is set to launch in the Spring with pricing announced closer to launch.
