Frontier Developments, the developer behind Planet Zoo, Jurassic World: Evolution has announced that their theme park simulator, Planet Coaster is coming to consoles.
The announcement was made during Microsoft’s X019 event in London, England. You can read more about all of the X019 announcements here.
Planet Coaster originally launched for PC in 2016 and is the spiritual successor to games like RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 and the Thrillville series.
You can create a living, breathing world in Planet Coaster with jaw-dropping rollercoasters that define the laws of physics and create the park of your dreams.
Planet Coaster: Console Edition launches on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Holiday 2020.
The PC version of Planet Coaster is available now on Steam.
Update – June 16th, 2020: Frontier has announced that the Planet Coaster: Console Edition is coming to next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and PS5 and the release date has been pushed to Holiday 2020 from Summer. This article has been updated to reflect and you can find out more here.
