Announced back at their October 2019 event, Microsoft’s latest device, the Surface Pro X is now available for purchase.
The Surface Pro X the first device in the lineup to use a custom ARM-based chip called the SQ1, which Microsoft worked with Qualcomm to develop and comes with an Adreno 685 iGPU.

The new Surface device has a 13-inch PixelSense touch display with a 3:2 aspect ratio and the entire device is just 7.3mm thin.

The device can be configured with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB SSD. Microsoft says you can expect up to 13 hours of battery life and it supports Fast Charging to get you 80% in one hour.
The new Surface device has Windows Hello login support, 2 USB-C ports, Surface Connect and a Surface Keyboard pins.

The Surface Pro X can be bundled with the new Surface Pro X Signature Keyboard which adds a slot for the new Surface Slim Pen.

The Keyboard itself costs $189 CAD or $295 CAD for both the Keyboard and Surface Slim Pen (when you bundle it with the Pro X otherwise its $369 CAD together). The new pen costs $179 CAD on its own.
Canadian pricing for the Surface Pro X is as follows:
- 8GB RAM, 128GB Storage – $1,349 CAD
- 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage – $1,749 CAD
- 16GB RAM, 256GB Storage – $2,019 CAD
- 16GB RAM, 256GB Storage – $2,349 CAD
The Surface Pro X can be purchased from the Microsoft Store and in the new few weeks from Best Buy Canada.
