TiVo has announced it’s bringing its TiVo Edge for antenna DVR to Canada.

The TiVo Edge has support for 4K UHD, Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision HDR. You can record up to 75 hours of content in Full HD with the 500GB hard drive and two tuners.

“We are thrilled to be launching TiVo EDGE for antenna in Canada. The TiVo EDGE is our latest innovation that allows customers to tame the entertainment chaos across live TV, DVR and online streaming services,” said Ted Malone, vice president of consumer products and services, TiVo. “TiVo EDGE offers a best-in-class video entertainment experience for TV viewers, including cord-cutters and digital cable TV lovers, connecting them quickly to all of their favourite shows and movies.”

The TiVo Edge is designed to be an all-in-one media device, that’s why it has access to Netflix and Prime Video on the box itself.

Some of the features of the TiVo Edge include:

  • SkipMode® – which allows viewers to skip to the end of a commercial break and resume watching instantly with the touch of a button
  • Voice Control and OneSearch™ – allowing viewers to simultaneously search live TV, TiVo EDGE, and streaming apps to easily find what they’re looking for using their voice
  • OnePass™ – allows viewers to track down every season and episode of their favourite shows, automatically recording current and upcoming episodes and adding them to the shows’ playlist, ready to be watched

The TiVo Edge is available now from the company’s website for $299 CAD. A service plan is required to use the device and costs $8.99 CAD monthly or $89.99 CAD annually.
