Samsung’s latest entry in the Galaxy Note series has arrived with the Galaxy Note10 and Note10+.

“From the very beginning, the Galaxy Note has stood for the best-of-the-best technologies and features. The Galaxy Note10 series re-imagines this promise for the modern Note fan who uses their smartphone to take their productivity and creativity to the next level, and who effortlessly flows between ideas and endeavours at a moment’s notice,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division, Samsung Electronics. “Every element of the Galaxy Note10 series was designed to help users achieve more. Whether they’re finishing a big project for work, capturing and editing a video, or playing their favourite mobile game, the Galaxy Note10 series will help them do it faster and better.”

The smaller Note10 comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ AMOLED Infinity-O display while the Note10+ has a 6.8-inch Quad HD+ AMOLED Infinity-O display. Both phones are HDR10+ certified.

Instead of having the 10-megapixel front-facing camera off to the right side like on the S10 and S10+, the Note10 & Note10+’s front camera is directly in the centre of the virtually bezel-less display.

Powering the Note10 & Note10+ is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with 8GB of RAM on the Note10 and 12GB of RAM on the Note10+.

For storage, the Note10 comes with 256GB of storage while the Note10+ goes up to 512GB and has a microSD card slot. The standard Note10 sadly does not include a microSD card slot.

The S Pen on the Note10 & Note10+ has been redesigned to feature a uni-body and intelligent design that can convert handwriting to digital text via Samsung Notes and also use Air Actions to control your Note10 & Note10+ with the S Pen.

Samsung DeX is still on the Note10 & Note10+ but in a bigger way, rather than having a separate DeX dock or USB-C to HDMI adapter, you can no just connect your device to your PC or Mac and uses the DeX interface there just by using a USB cable to your computer.

That means you can easily drag and drop files between devices and use your favourite apps on your phone using a mouse and keyboard.

There is no headphone jack on either device (and no headphone adapter in the box) but a pair of AKG USB-C earbuds are included.

Battery life shouldn’t be an issue as the Note10 has a 3,500 mAh battery and the Note10+ with a 4,300 mAh battery (compared to 4,000 mAh on the Note9). The Note10+ comes with Super Fast Charging that is up to 45W (with a compatible charger) over USB-C that should get you all-day battery life in just 30 minutes while the Note10 is limited to 25W.

Just like the S10 & S10+, the Note10 & Note10+ has Wireless PowerShare so you can wirelessly charge your Galaxy Watch or Galaxy Buds on the go.

The Note10 & Note10+ both come with a triple-camera lens setup featuring a 16-megapixel Ultra Wide, 12-megapixel Wide-angle and 12-megapixel Telephoto.

The cameras on both devices are cable of recording video at up to 4K UHD at 60 fps as well as 1080p at 60 fps and slow-motion video. There’s also support to record video in HDR10+.

Some of the new video modes on the Note10 & Note10+ include LiveFocus video that lets you add depth-of-field adjustments and blur the background while recording. And also Zoom-In Mic which will amplify the audio in your frame and filters out background noise.

After capturing video, there’s a built-in video editor to edit video on the go and with the S Pen.
