Samsung has officially taken the wraps off their latest flagship tablet, the Galaxy Tab S6.

“Today’s inspiration comes at a moment’s notice and creatives and professionals need a device able to keep up with insatiable imaginations while complementing their busy, on-the-go lifestyles,” said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. “Galaxy Tab S6 enables consumers to unlock their creativity, while delivering the top-quality productivity features and advanced technology they have come to expect from Samsung tablets.”

Just like other Samsung tablets before it, the Galaxy Tab S6 comes with an S Pen which not only has been improved but also comes with remote control functionality (via Bluetooth LE) and wireless charging that gets you 10 hours of battery life in just ten minutes.

Best of all, the new S Pen for the Galaxy Tab S6 magnetically attaches to the back of the device and doubles as the wireless charging cradle.

The Galaxy Tab S6 has 10.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600. There’s also an in-display Optical fingerprint sensor like on the Galaxy S10 and S10+.

Powering the Galaxy Tab S6 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor with either 6GB or 8GB of RAM depending on storage capacity (either 128 or 256GB with a microSD card slot).

For cameras, the Galaxy Tab S6 comes with a 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel lens on the back and 8-megapixel camera on the front. The rear cameras can record up to 4K video at 30 fps.

Battery life shouldn’t be an issue as the tablet comes with a 7,040 mAh battery. There are also 4 speakers that are tuned by AKG and have Dolby Atmos support.

There will also be a keyboard case and book cover available for the Galaxy Tab S6 when it launches.

The Galaxy Tab S6 is set to release in late August for $899 CAD ($649 USD) with pre-orders starting on August 8th. If you pre-order the Galaxy Tab S6 between August 8th and 20th, you’ll get a keyboard cover for free (valued at $124.99 CAD).

Colour options include Mountain Gray, Cloud Blue and Rose Blush.
