LG has announced that starting today, Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit are now available on the company’s 2019 AI TV lineup.

AirPlay 2 allows you to easily stream movies, TV shows and music from your iPhone, iPad and Mac to your TV including supported Dolby Vision movies.
HomeKit allows you to control your LG TV using the Home app in iOS along with your other smart home products. Then you can control basic TV functions such as power, volume and source with Siri on your Apple devices.
AirPlay 2 and HomeKit will come as a firmware update for LG’s 2019 OLED, NanoCell, UHD TVs with their ThinQ AI.
The update will come to 2019 LG TV owners in more than 140 countries including Canada over the coming weeks.
