It’s been about two months since Samsung delayed the launch of their Galaxy Fold because of issues with the display.
And now Bloomberg is reporting that has completed their redesign of the Galaxy Fold so screen issues won’t occur.
Each of the Galaxy Fold units came with a protective layer of film that covered the entire screen and some reviewers who received review units thought the layer was peelable.
Now the protective film layer covers the entire screen and goes into the bezel, so users won’t be able to pull it off by accident.
Bloomberg notes that the new design makes the film layer “feel harder and a more natural part of the device.”
After some final tweaking, Samsung will soon be shipping major components of the Galaxy Fold including the display, battery to a plant in Vietnam for assembly.
Samsung still hasn’t said when the Galaxy Fold will launch but sources tell Bloomberg that the company won’t reveal any details during the Galaxy Note 10 event in New York on August 7th.
Rumours are suggesting that the Galaxy Fold won’t launch until this holiday.
