When buying a new TV a big thing that is often overlooked is sound quality. Most of the time, the speakers in a TV don’t sound all that great. One thing to consider is a speaker system or even just a soundbar.
One soundbar to consider is Anker’s Soundcore Infini Pro, which is the company’s first Dolby Atmos soundbar.
The Infini Pro is fairly long in length at 36.6 inches and 4.7-inches, the soundbar is slightly heavy at 3.3kg. The top and front of the soundbar have a fabric finish.
The soundbar has 2 built-in subwoofers, 2 full range drivers and 2 tweeters which produce 120W of audio output. Sound quality from the Infini Pro sounds great with good bass without a subwoofer and surround sound that makes it fill up your room.
As mentioned, the Infini Pro comes with Dolby Atmos which has been designed to move sound in a three-dimensional space. That means you can hear every detail of the content you’re watching.
Dolby Atmos works with a number of video services including Netflix, Prime Video, iTunes and more. To use Dolby Atmos, you’ll need a compatible device such as the TCL 6-Series Roku TV, Fire TV Stick 4K, Apple TV 4K, Xbox One X.
To setup, you’ll need to connect the Infini Pro to your TV via the HDMI out port on the soundbar. You can then connect your streaming device to the soundbar using the HDMI In port. It also comes with HDMI In and Out (which support ARC) ports, Digital Optical, Aux and Bluetooth 5.0.
I was able to connect the Infini Pro to my TCL 6-Series Roku TV and a Fire TV Stick 4K. The Fire TV Stick 4K has support for Dolby Atmos. I watched one of the latest episodes of Season 3 of The Grand Tour and as each of the cars on the screen zoomed past, the Infini Pro could get really loud and the sound felt like it was coming from a surround sound setup. Just make sure you have the surround button turned on the soundbar.
One issue I did have, since I connected my Fire TV Stick 4K to the Infini Pro, my TCL Roku TV had trouble recognizing the HDMI in port on the soundbar.
Since the Infini Pro comes with Bluetooth, you can easily stream music from your phone using the Soundcore app. The app also lets you use it as a remote for the Infini Pro.
The Soundcore Infini Pro is available now from the company’s website for $249 USD.
