It won’t be too long before you’ll be able to become a wizard in Niantic’s Harry Potter: Wizards Unite.
The company announced on Twitter that the worldwide launch of the game is set to begin on Friday, June 21st in the US and UK. More countries to follow after.
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite will allow players to become real-life Wizards and experience J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World. You’ll be able to learn spells, fight legendary beasts and team up with other players to defeat powerful enemies.
The game is being developed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and WB Games San Francisco and published by Warner Bros.’ Portkey Games. It’ll use Niantic’s real-world AR gaming platform, which they used for Pokémon Go.
It has previously been in beta in Australia and New Zealand for the past few weeks.
The game will be playable on both Android and iOS.
We’ve reached out to Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment about when the game will launch in Canada.
