Asus has announced a new laptop in their TUF Gaming lineup with the TUF Gaming FX505DV.
The new laptop can be equipped with an AMD Ryzen 5 3550H or 7 3750H CPU and an Nvidia RTX 2060 GPU with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM.
For storage, the laptop comes with a 1TB 5400 rpm hard drive or 1TB FireCuda or 256GB/512GB/1TB PCIe SSD.
The laptop has been tested and certified for military-grade MIL-STD-810G standards.
The 15.6-inch Full HD display can be equipped with different refresh rates including 60Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz.
For ports, there’s 2 USB 3.0 Gen 1, 1 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI 2.0, Ethernet and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The battery is 48Wh and colour options include Gold Steel or Stealth Black. The Chinese market will get a Red Matter colour option and the Stealth Black (but with a white-backlit keyboard).
The Asus TUF Gaming FX505DV will be available in Q3 of this year, pricing announced closer to launch.
In addition to the new TUF Gaming laptop, Asus announced a strategic partnership with Tencent Games to enhance the company’s mobile game experience in the upcoming ROG Phone II.

Hsu. “The combined software and hardware expertise that Tencent Games and ASUS respectively bring to the table has allowed us to reach beyond anything we could have imagined.”
Asus hasn’t said when the ROG Phone II will be officially unveiled.
