Dell announces the all-new XPS 13 2-in-1, XPS 15 & Inspiron AIOs at Computex 2019

Dell has made a few announcements at Computex 2019 under their XPS, Alienware, Inspiron and Precision products.

Dell XPS 15 (7590)

Dell’s XPS 15 has been given an update for 2019 with 9th Gen Intel Core i H-series processors (up to Intel i9-9980HK) and up to 64GB of RAM. For the GPU, it comes equipped with Intel UHD 630 or the Nvidia GTX 1650.

Just like the XPS 13 from earlier this year, the new XPS 15 has a 2.25mm webcam in Dell’s InfinityEdge display. There an option for either a 56WH or 97WHr battery.

Speaking of the display, you can get the new XPS 15 with either Full HD resolution, UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD touch with 100% Adobe RGB or OLED 4K Ultra HD at 100% DCI-P3 non-touch. Storage options include a 256GB SSD to a 2TB SSD.

For ports, the new XPS 15 comes with 1 Thunderbolt 3 with Power Delivery & DisplayPort, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1, 1 HDMI 2.0, 1 SD card reader and a headphone jack.

The new XPS 15 will be available in the coming weeks, starting at $1,499 CAD ($999 USD) and $1,899 USD for the OLED version.

Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 (7390)

The new XPS 13 2-in-1 has been given an overhaul while also taking cues from the current XPS 13. The laptop is powered by the 10th Gen Intel processors (up to an Intel Core i7-1065) that is 2.5 times more powerful but is 8% thinner.

You have a 13.4-inch InfinityEdge display with a 16:10 aspect ratio and has the 2.25mm webcam at the top of the display. The XPS 13 2-in-1 can be optioned with a Full HD+ touch display or an UltraSharp 4K Ultra HD+ touch display.

The XPS 13 2-in-1 comes with Intel UHD Graphics and Intel Iris Plus, up to 32GB of RAM, up to a 1TB SSD. There’s also a 51WHr battery that Dell says you can get up to 16 hours of battery life.

For ports, there are 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery, microSD card reader and a headphone jack.

The new XPS 13 2-in-1 will start at $999 USD when it launches in July.

Alienware m15 and m17 (R2)

Dell has given their Alienware m15 and m17 laptops a design overhaul which uses Alienware’s new Legendary design language that debuted with the Alienware Area-51m.

The new m15 comes in at under 5lbs (while the m17 is under 6lbs) and with a 15.6-inch display in up 4K 60 Hz resolution as well as 240Hz 1080p option. There’s also an option for Tobii Eyetracking technology.

The new m17 has a 17.3-inch display can only be optioned with a 1080p display but there is still an option for Tobii Eyetracking.

The m15 and m17 can be optioned with up to a 9th Gen Intel i9-9980HK CPU and Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q and up to 16GB of RAM. For storage, there are dual storage options and up to a 2TB SSD with a 4TB RAID configuration.

The new m15 and m17 come in Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon colour options.

Both will start shipping on June 11th and start at $2,099 CAD ($1,499 USD) for the new m15 and $2,199 CAD for the new m17.

To go with the new Alienware laptops, Dell is offering two headsets, the Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset and Alienware Stereo Gaming Headset.

The Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset offers best-in-class 50mm drivers that were custom-tuned for a more immersive audio experience.

The earcups in the Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset uses plush memory form, sports fabric and leatherette. The headset has a detachable USB cable and swappable 3.5mm audio cable so it can be used with Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

The Alienware Stereo Gaming Headset is like the 7.1 version but only offers stereo audio.

The Alienware 7.1 Gaming Headset costs $99 USD and the Alienware Stereo Gaming Headset costs $79 USD when they ship at the end of July.

Dell G3 15 (3590)

The new Dell G3 15 now comes equipped with the latest 9th Gen Intel processors and up to an Nvidia 1660Ti GPU.

You can equip the new Dell G3 15 with a 1080p display at 144Hz. Storage options include up to 512GB SSD single storage or up to 1TB SSD dual storage.

The new Dell G3 15 comes in Eclipse Black and Alpine White and is available now for $799 USD.

Dell Eyesafe Display

Alienware m17 R2

Dell will also soon be offering an Eyesafe display on their Alienware m17 and Dell G7 17 and which will be optimized to reduce blue light exposure.

The Eyesafe display option will be available for the Alienware Area-51m in June and coming to the entire Alienware lineup in the coming months.

Dell Inspiron 2019 Lineup

Dell has also announced a few products under their Inspirion lineup. The Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 (3195) has an 11.6-inch touch display, 7th Gen AMD A6 or A9 CPU and AMD graphics with either 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The Inspiron 11 3000 2-in-1 will be available in June for $349 USD.

The new Inspiron 13/15 7000 2-in-1 has a rotating hinge with a slot for Dell’s Active Pen that is easily accessible no matter which mode the device is in. They come equipped with 8th Intel processors, up to 16GB of RAM, 1TB SSD and Intel UHD graphics.

The new Inspiron 13/15 7000 2-in-1 starts at $729 USD and $999 USD respectively and will be available in the coming months.

The Inspiron 24 5000 and 27 7000 AiOs have an elegant design with a bottom-mounted stand. Both devices have Dell’s InfinityEdge Full HD display with a touch option available.

The Inspiron 24 5000 and 27 7000 come with the latest Intel processors, Intel UHD Graphics 620 or Nvidia MX110 and up to 32GB of RAM.

Both all-in-ones start shipping in July for $699 USD for the 24-inch model and $949 USD for the 27-inch model.
