Vizio’s 2019 TVs have 4K HDR, AirPlay 2 & more

Vizio has announced their update TV lineup for 2019 which come with a number of features including 4K HDR resolution, Active Full Array backlighting and AirPlay 2 support.

“The expansive VIZIO 2019 TV collection is truly our most feature-packed lineup yet. We’ve blended the best of brightness, contrast and colour to create an unrivalled picture across all price points,” said Bill Baxter, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO. “Further rounding out VIZIO’s unmatched entertainment experience is our intuitive VIZIO SmartCast 3.0 smart TV platform. VIZIO SmartCast 3.0 adds even more value with the upcoming support for Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, making it compatible with Siri, Google Assistant and Alexa for ultimate user flexibility no matter their preferred ecosystem.”

Vizio P-Series (2019)

The new 2019 Vizio P-Series comes in 65 and 75-inch screen sizes. The P-Series Quantum X will dynamically adjust the brightness of the picture using Active Full Array backlight (with up to 480 local dimming zones) for “near perfect black levels that rival OLED.”

You can expect up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness on the P-Series Quantum X along with Dolby Vision, HDR.

The standard P-Series Quantum has the same specs as the X version but with 240 local dimming zones and up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness.

The 65-inch 2019 P-Series Quantum costs $1,399 USD while the 75-inch goes for $2,499 USD.

The 65-inch 2019 P-Series Quantum X costs $2,199 USD and the 75-inch costs $3,499 USD.

Vizio M-Series (2019)

The Vizio M-Series for 2019 has 4K HDR and now comes with the company’s Quantum Color technology that enables a wider spectrum of colours and up to 80% more colour.

The 2019 M-Series has HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG support with 90 local dimming zones and up to 600 nits of peak brightness. The M-Series is offered in screen sizes from 43-inches to 65-inches.

The 2019 M-Series starts at $399 USD for the 43-inch model and goes up to $999 USD for the 65-inch model.

Vizio V-Series (2019)

Vizio has rebranded their E-Series as the all-new V-Series for 2019. The V-Series offers 4K HDR, Dolby Vision, 12 local dimming zones and 400 nits of peak brightness.

The V-Series is offered in screen sizes from 40-inches to 75-inches.

The Vizio V-Series starts at $259 USD for the 40-inch model and $1,199 USD for the 75-inch model.

Smart Cast 3.0

All of Vizio’s 2019 TV lineup comes with SmartCast 3.0 which is the company’s smart TV experience. You have access to apps such as Netflix, Prime Video, iHeartRadio and more.

SmartCast 3.0 also included Chromecast built-in, Google Assistant, Alexa and Siri integration with Apple AirPlay 2 support available in the coming weeks.

Vizio hasn’t announced Canadian pricing and availability for the 2019 TV lineup but they’re available now in the US from Amazon, Best Buy, Costco, Sam’s Club, Target and Walmart.

Vizio 2019 Audio Lineup

To go along with your new Vizio TV, the company announced a few Dolby Atmos soundbars and sound systems.

First is the Vizio 36″ 5.1.4 and 36″ 3.1.2 Premium Home Theatre Sound Systems with Dolby Atmos. The speaker systems come with rear surround speakers, wireless subwoofer and a Dolby Atmos enabled soundbar to provide height and better sound to your TV.

The Vizio 36″ 5.1.4 Premium Home Theatre Sound System with Dolby Atmos costs $699 USD while the 36″ 3.1.2 version costs $469 USD.
