Amazon has announced an all-new version of the Fire 7 tablet that is faster and comes with twice the amount of storage as before.
The new Fire 7 tablet has a 7-inch display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 and 171 PPI. It’s being powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz with 1GB of RAM.
You can get the tablet with 16 or 32GB of internal storage plus a microSD card slot for up to 512GB more. You can expect about 7 hours of battery life on the Fire 7 and there’s also dual-band Wi-Fi support, front and rear facing cameras for video chat.
Amazon says the new Fire 7 tablet is more durable than the latest iPad Mini and can easily survive drops, tumbles, spills and everyday wear and tear.
The new Fire 7 tablet is available for pre-order now for $69.99 CAD ($49.99 USD) today and will ship on June 6th. It’ll be able in two colour options, Black and Twilight Blue.
Amazon will also be offering cases for the Fire 7 in Charcoal Black, Sage, Plum, Twilight Blue and Desert Orange for $29.99 CAD each.
