Roku has announced new features that will be coming with the Roku OS 9.1 update for their latest streaming players and Roku TVs.
In addition to performance improvements, Roku OS 9.1 comes with a new Guest Mode. It allows your guests to sign into their subscription channels and then be automatically removed at a specified date.
To enable Guest mode, go to Settings > System > Guest Mode. The new feature can also be switched on and off remotely from the my account page on Roku.com.
Automatic Account Link allows you to automatically be logged into your account for a specific channel on your Roku device without having to re-enter it.
The new feature is now available for developers and publishers and is currently supported in the Plex, fuboTV and CBS All Access channels with more coming soon.
The Roku OS 9.1 update is set to roll out by early summer.
