Today not only marks April Fools Day, but it’s also the 15th birthday of Gmail and to celebrate Google has announced some new feature coming soon to their email service.
Google will soon be adding the option to schedule messages from within Gmail. That means you won’t have to rely on third-party extensions. All you have to do is compose (or Smart Compose) your email as usual and then next to the send button, you’ll see an option to Schedule Send.
From there, you’ll be able to pick a date and time to send your email. Google hasn’t said when the Schedule Send feature is set to arrive but look out for in the coming months.
Back at I/O 2018, Google announced a feature for Gmail called Smart Compose that uses machine learning to automatically predict what you’re going to type.
Since then, Smart Compose as rolled out to the Gmail on Android and will soon be coming to the iOS app and be available in four new languages, Spanish, French, Italian and Portuguese.
