Samsung’s Galaxy Fold can handle 200,000 folds

As one of the first foldable phones of the year is set to arrive, the Galaxy Fold, Samsung has given some insight as to some of the durability test the device goes through before being sold to consumers.

As seen in the video above, the Galaxy Fold can easily last 200,000 folds and unfolds, which Samsung says is about five years of usage if you fold/unfold it 100 times a day.

Samsung’s test takes about a week to complete but the company says it’s necessary to help ensure the durability of the Galaxy Fold’s hinge design and Infinity Flex Display.

The Galaxy Fold is set to launch in the US on April 26th for $1,980 USD with the phone to launch in Canada and other global markets later this year.
