Back when Google announced the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, they also introduced a new feature called Call Screen but at the time it was only made available to Pixel owners in the US, now the feature is coming to Canada.
According to Google, “To use Call Screen, when you get an incoming call, just hit the “Screen call” button and the Google Assistant will help you get answers to specific questions like who’s calling, why and more. You’ll see a transcript of the caller’s responses in real-time, and then you can decide whether to pick up, respond by tapping quick replies like “I’ll call you back later,” hang up, or mark the call as spam.”
The company also said that the Call Screen processes call details on your device, making it fast, private to you and use up less battery.
If you are a Pixel 2 or Pixel 3 owner and want to try the Call Screen beta, all you need to do is opt-in to the beta but becoming a tester for the Phone app, here. Then go to the Play Store and update the Phone app to the latest beta version.
