Sonos One (Gen 2) brings better internals and more

Sonos has announced a minor update to their Sonos One smart speaker, which gives the internals a boost.

Dubbed Sonos One (Gen 2), the outside of the speaker will stay the same, it’s what’s inside that is changing.

The company has added Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), an updated processor and increased memory to make for a better overall and faster experience.

The Sonos One (Gen 2) will be replacing the outgoing device (now called Gen 1) and the new version will cost $249 CAD ($199 USD).

Sonos did say that both the Sonos One (Gen 2) and original Sonos will continue to be supported through regular updates.

Sonos One (Gen 2) is available now, just look for Gen 2 branding on the box.
