At MWC 2019, Microsoft has officially announced HoloLens 2.
HoloLens 2 has a bigger field of view and a holographic density of 47 pixels per degree of sight.
Microsoft is using a light carbon-fibre material to help make a more balanced center of gravity and a new dial-in fit system.
Companies will be able to take advantage of mixed reality applications like Dynamics 365 Remote Assist, Dynamics 365 Layout and the new Dynamics 365 Guide which can help provide a number of different use cases and industries.
HoloLens 2 will be available later this year for $3,500 USD in the US, Canada, Japan, China, Germany, UK, Ireland, France, Australia and New Zealand. You can pre-order HoloLens 2 here.
Azure Kinect Developer Kit
Microsoft has also announced the Azure Kinect Developer kit which has a time-of-flight depth sensor, high-def RGB camera and 7-microphone circular array.
The device can be used for the development of advanced computer vision and speech solutions using Microsoft Azure.
The Azure Kinect DK is available for pre-order now in the US and China for $399 USD.
