Lenovo announces the Smart Clock, Smart Tabs and new Yoga computers at CES 2019

Lenovo has announced a whole host of products at CES 2019 across smart home, gaming and PCs.

Lenovo Smart Clock with the Google Assistant

The Lenovo Smart Clock is Google and Lenovo’s answer to the Echo Spot. It has a 4-inch touch display and is powered by the MediaTek 81675 processor and a 1.5-inch 3W speaker with 2 passive radiators.

The top of the Smart Clock has volume buttons and the back of the device is where the USB-A port and mute mic switch. It also has 2.4Ghz & 5Ghz dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.

Since the Lenovo Smart Clock comes with the Google Assistant, you can ask Google questions like weather, tasks. Just like the Lenovo Smart Display, you can cast music and podcasts to the device.

The Lenovo Smart Clock will be available in the spring for $79.99 USD.

Lenovo Smart Tabs with Amazon Alexa

Lenovo also announced the Smart Tab with Amazon Alexa. Basically, it’s an Android tablet that comes with a Smart Dock that will automatically switch to Show Mode like an Amazon Echo Show or Echo Spot.

The Smart Tab comes in two models, the M10 and P10. Both have a 10.1-inch Full HD display, dual front-facing speakers with Dolby Atmos, USB-C port and are powered the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor.

The M10 comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage (plus a microSD card slot), 4850 mAh battery and the P10 comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage (plus a microSD card slot) and 7000 mAh battery.

Since the Lenovo Smart Tabs come with Amazon Alexa built-in, you can ask Alexa questions, weather and control your smart home. You’ll also see everything visually on the screen when the tablet is in Show Mode.

The M10 has a 5-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel camera while P10 has a 8-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel camera.

The Lenovo Smart Tabs are up for pre-order now in the US. The M10 is $199 USD and the P10 is $299 USD.

Lenovo Yoga S940

The Yoga S940 is all about both security and privacy by using Lenovo Smart Assist AI-enabled features. Lenovo’s AI will automatically filter ambient noise, detect your absence and auto-lock the display.

The laptop can be figured with an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, Intel Integrated graphics, up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB SSD. It also comes with Dolby Atmos speakers and can be optioned with a Full HD or 4K display.

For ports, it comes with 2 USB-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, Type-C with DC-In and 3.1 Gen 1 and a 3.5mm audio jack.

There’s also an IR camera for Windows Hello, far-field microphones and weighs just 2.64 lbs.

The Yoga S940 will be available in May and start at $1,499 USD.

Lenovo Yoga A940

The Yoga A940 is Lenovo’s answer to the Microsoft Surface Studio. It’s an all-in-one PC with a 27-inch rotating display (that can be optioned with a QHD or 4K resolution).

The screen on the Yoga A940 has Dolby Vision and the built-in speakers come with Dolby Atmos. The base of the has a wireless charger and stylus.

It’s power by the 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, AMD Radeon RX560 GPU, up to 32GB of RAM and with up to a 2TB HDD and 512GB SSD.

The Yoga A940 also comes with the Lenovo Precision Dial. It’s similar to the Surface Dial which allows you to adjust settings and features in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and more.

The Yoga A940 starts at $2,349 USD and will be available in April.

Lenovo Legion Y540 & Y740

Lenovo also announced the Legion Y540 and Y740 gaming laptops. The Legion Y540 has a 15-inch Full-HD Dolby Vision display with at either 60Hz or 144Hz, 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors, Nvidia RTX 2060 and up to 32GB of RAM.

The Legion Y740 has either a 15-inch or 17-inch Full-HD Dolby Vision display, 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and up to 32GB of RAM. It can also be optioned with the Nvidia RTX 2060, RTX 2070 Max-Q or RTX 2080 Max-Q.

For ports, the Y540 and Y740 come with USB-C, Mini DisplayPort 1.4, USB 3.1 Type-A, HDMI 2.0, Ethernet jack, USB 3.1 Type-A and 3.5mm audio jack.

You can get both laptops with up to 2TB HDD and up to 512GB SSD.

The Legion Y740 will be available in February, the 15-inch Y740 starts at $1749 USD and the 17-inch Y740 starts at $1979 USD.

The Legion Y540 will be available in May and start at $929 USD.
