Asus has made a couple of announcements at CES 2019 across their ROG lineup and more.
ROG Mothership (GZ700)
One of the more interesting Asus announcements is their ROG Mothership (GZ700), it’s a desktop replacement but with a form factor that draws more into the computer’s advanced cooling system.
The keyboard can detach and fold over to fit different scenarios. The ROG Mothership comes with a 17.3-inch Full HD IPS 144Hz display with a 3mm GTG response time and Nvidia G-Sync.
It’s being powered by up to an Intel Core i9-8950HK processor, 64GB of DDR4 RAM and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 GPU. It also comes with three NVMe SSDs and next-gen networking.
For ports, you have 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C with Thunderbolt 3, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C with VirtualLink, 3 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, HDMI 2.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, Ethernet jack and SD card reader.
The ROG Mothership will be available in Q2 2019 but no pricing has been announced.
ROG Zephyrus S (GX701)
Asus also has updated their Zephyrus S with the latest Nvidia RTX GPUs. You can get the laptop with up to an Nvidia RTX 2080 Max-Q, 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8750H processor and up to 24GB of RAM.
The ROG Zephyrus S has a 17.3-inch Full HD 144Hz display with G-Sync technology and Pantone Validated. For ports, the new Zephyrus S comes with 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C with DisplayPort 1.4 and Power Delivery, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A, 1 HDMI 2.0b and 3.5mm headphone jack.
The updated ROG Zephyrus S will be available in the coming weeks.
