LG has announced two new devices in their gram laptop line, the new gram 17 (17Z990) and the 14-inch gram 2-in-1 (14T990).
The LG gram 17 comes with a 17-inch WQXGA display with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 in a 15.6-inch class body. The 16:10 aspect ratio of the LG gram 17 is great for image and video-editing and for both “media prosumers and business professionals.”
The laptop weighs about 1.34 kg, making it the lightest 17-inch laptop on the market. It also comes with a 72W battery that should last up to 19 hours.
The LG gram 17 is powered by the 8th Gen Intel Core processor with up to 16GB of DDR4 RAM. It also comes with either a 256GB or 512GB SSD with a slot for another SSD.
For ports, the LG gram 17 comes with Thunderbolt 3, 3 USB 3.1 Type-A ports, HDMI, microSD and headphone jack. The laptop also comes with a fingerprint reader and precision glass touchpad.
The LG gram 2-in-1 has a 14-inch touch display that is on a 360-degree hinge to maximum versatility. The laptop also comes with a Wacom AES 2.0 pen that offers 4,096 pressure levels with tilt detection for a more natural and precise drawing experience.
The laptop also comes with Gorilla Glass 5 and a 72W battery that offers up to 21 hours of battery life.

For ports, the LG gram 2-in-1 has a USB 3.1 Type-C port, USB 3.1 USB-A port, HDMI, microSD and headphone jack.
No Canadian pricing or availability has been announced for either model but more details should be announced at CES 2019.
