Pocket Casts 7 adds a new design, episode search & more

Pocket Casts has introduced Version 7 of their popular podcast app.

One of the first new features is the brand-new Discover section which makes it easier. Navigating the app has been changed to a bottom navbar that splits it into 4 sections, Podcasts, Filters, Discover and Profile.

And now you have the ability to search for a specific episode of a podcast. So if there’s a certain topic or guest, you can now find it.

The Up Next list is now syncing across all versions of Pocket Casts including the web, PC and Mac versions.

Version 7 also brings Listening History which allows you to see what episodes you listened to recently.

On iOS, Pocket Casts 7 also brings AirPlay 2 support, playback effects and Siri Shortcuts. Android version of Pocket Casts 7 has been updated to use Google’s new Material Design guidelines.

Version 7 of Pocket Casts is now available on iOS, Web, macOS and Windows 10. The Android version is now available via an open beta.
