The Marvel movies are one of the most popular film franchises and with each movie, you have the usual array of merchandise from t-shirts to toys. One of the more interesting pieces of tie-in products is the Avengers Hero Inventor Kit by littleBits.

The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit allows kids and kids-at-heart to turn ideas into inventions. With each Avengers Hero Inventor Kit, you get a number of parts called bits including an accelerometer, Bluetooth low energy, light sensor, power and more. Each of the bits snaps together via magnets

The kit also comes with your own Iron Man gauntlet that can be worn (but is made for smaller arms) or you can just display it on its stand. There is also stickers included in the kit to customize it.

All the parts in the Avengers Hero Inventor Kit are made to last and even though the gauntlet & bits are made of plastic.

Using and connecting the different blocks is fairly easy and to make different inventions, you just follow the instructions in the littleBits Avengers app for Android and iOS.

There are about 18 in-app activities that offer different inventions. Once you build one invention all the way through, then you’ll unlock the next one and so forth. You’ll first start out by building an Iron Man invention and then move on to Ant-Man and the Wasp, Hulk, Black Widow and Black Panther & Shuri.

The app actually gives a lot of details and includes video tutorials. And if you miss a step or need to go back, you can easily do so.

The Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is available now for $199 CAD ($149 USD) and available in Canada, US, UK, Germany, Spain, France, Italy, Australia and New Zealand. It can be purchased from littleBits’ website, Amazon.ca and Indigo in Canada.

Overall, the Avengers Hero Inventor Kit is a great way for kids to improve their technical skills no matter their age. The only real downside to it is that it’s on the pricier side but if you’re a parent willing to bite the bullet, it’ll make a great gift for your kids.
