Mercedes-Benz has announced their first electric SUV called the EQC.
The EQC is the first vehicle under their new product and technology brand, EQ (which stands for Electric Intelligence).
The EQC has all-wheel drive and two electric motors (one in the front and one in the back) which uses the front motor under light and medium load. It has a 402 horsepower and a combined output of 300kW.
The EQC can get up to 450 KM of range and uses about 22.2 kWh per 100 KM. The battery is 80 kWh and it supports DC fast charging which allows you to get about 80% battery life in about 40 minutes.
On the inside, the EQC comes with dual 10.25-inch displays and uses the company’s MBUX infotainment system, first introduced on the new A-Class.
Mercedes hasn’t announced pricing but it’ll be available in 2020.
