Xbox at gamescom 2018: Everything you need to know

Microsoft made a couple of announcements on their episode of Inside Xbox at gamescom 2018.

PUBG 1.0

Microsoft and PUBG Corp. announced that PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) will exit Xbox Game Preview to a Full Product Release (1.0) on September 4th.

The Full Release will all the gameplay enhancements and content that have been featured so far as well as the Sanhok map, War Mode and Achievements earned in Xbox Game Preview carry over.

The Full Release of PUBG will also include in-game DLC, the Xbox #1.0/99 Set which has a set of exclusive clothing and accessories inspired by the Xbox brand.

If you own PUBG for Xbox One, you’ll get a content update with the newly announced content plus the Xbox #1.0 DLC.

Microsoft also announced a PUBG Limited Editon Xbox Controller that has a black camo design, textured grips and exclusive DLC. The controller launches on October 30th and is available for pre-order now for $74.99 CAD.

Xbox Game Pass

Microsoft has announced that the Halo: The Master Chief Collection will be coming to Xbox Game Pass on September 1st.

In addition, Microsoft has launched an Xbox Game Pass app on Android and iOS, where you’ll be able to browse games in the Xbox Game Pass catalogue, find new titles and download them to your console.

From now until August 31st, you can two months of Xbox Game Pass for just $2.

State of Decay 2 Daybreak Pack

Microsoft and Undead Labs announced the Daybreak Pack for State of Decay 2 which adds a new siege defence game to the multiplayer.

The State of Decay 2 Daybreak Pack arrives on September 12th for Xbox One, Windows 10 and is included with Xbox Game Pass.

Sea of Thieves Forsaken Shores

The next free content update for Sea of Thieves, Forsaken Shores, is setting sail on September 19th (which is also International Talk Like A Pirate Day).

Forsaken Shores takes players to The Devil’s Roar where you’ll encounter volcanoes, geysers and earthquakes.

New Xbox One Bundles

Microsoft also announced a few Xbox One bundles coming later this year. The first is the 1TB Xbox One S and 1TB Xbox One X Shadow of the Tomb Raider bundles arriving on September 14th, which includes a digital code for the game, an Xbox Wireless Controller, 1-month fo Xbox Game Pass and 14 days of Xbox Live Gold.

There is also 1TB Xbox One S and 1TB Xbox One X Forza Horizon 4 bundles arriving on October 2nd.

Microsoft also announced the Xbox One X Gold Rush Special Edition Battlefield V Bundle which has a dark gray to gold design and comes with codes for Battlefield V Deluxe Edition and Battlefield 1943. The bundle arrives on October 16th for $599 CAD while supplies last.

There will also be standard Battlefield V bundles with either Xbox One S or Xbox One X which includes a code for the game.

And for fans of Fallout, there will also be an Xbox One X Fallout 76 Bundle arriving on November 14th.

The Xbox One X bundles cost $599 CAD and the Xbox One S bundles cost $379 CAD.

Xbox Design Lab Camo and Shadow Controllers

Microsoft also announced new design options for Xbox Design Lab include 5 new camo colours and 5 new shadow colours. And for a limited time, a Sterling Silver Shadow design will be available to order between now and September 30th.

Xbox Design Lab Controllers start at $84.99 CAD.
