According to info obtained by WCCFTech, Intel is planning on launching their 9th Gen desktop processors on October 1st.

The new processors are said to still be 14nm but vastly improved over previous generations.
The 9th Gen processors are said to have the following specs:
- Intel Core i9-9900K (8 core / 16 thread)
- Intel Core i7-9700K (8 core / 8 thread)
- Intel Core i5-9600K (6 core / 6 thread)
The Intel i9-9900K processor is said to be Intel’s first 8 Core Mainstream CPU with up to a 4.7 GHz clock speed and all 8 Core Boost frequency.
The Intel i7-9700K would be considered the company’s first mainstream 8-core CPU with up to 4.6 GHz clock speed on all cores.
The Intel i5-9600K is said to have 6 cores and 6 thread with 9MB of L3 cache and be similarly specced to the current Intel i5-8600K but with up to a 4.5GHz clock speed.
Also according to the leaked info, Intel is said to release their unlocked versions of the new processors and then the rest of the 9th Gen family in Q1 2019.
For now, we’ll just have to wait until October, to see if all this info come true.
