Bethesda E3 2018 Showcase: Everything you need to know

Bethesda made a couple of announcements and teases at their E3 2018 showcase.

Fallout 76

Fallout 76 is a set before all other games in the series and is the first multiplayer Fallout game. The game can be played solo but it’ll be a lot easier to survive the West Virigian wasteland with friends.

You’ll be able to play with up to four players cooperatively and they’ll be dozens of other players in the world too. The location of the game is set in is roughly four times larger than Fallout 4.

Fallout 76 is running on an upgraded version of Bethesda’s engine which will give players up to 16 times more detail, more draw distances and dynamic weather systems.

You’ll be able to create your own settlements anywhere in the world using C.A.M.P. (short for Construction and Assembly Mobile Platform), and other players and creatures in the world can destroy it within minutes. You’ll also be able to access nuclear missiles, which you’ll need keys to access.

The online part of Fallout 76 is all seamless, you won’t need to choose a specific server.

Fallout 76 is set to release on November 14th, 2018 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

There will also be a collector’s edition of Fallout 76 called the Power Armor Edition. It includes a wearable replica of the T-51B helmet from the game, as well as a map of the game that glows in the dark, 24 plastic figures, in-game bonuses and a Steelbook.

The Fallout 76 Power Armor Edition will be available in all versions.

Bethesda will be holding a beta for Fallout 76 but no details have been announced yet.

Doom Eternal

Bethesda also announced a sequel to 2016’s Doom reboot, with Doom Eternal. It is set in a hellish version of Earth with creatures to boot.

No release date has been announced.

Rage 2

Bethesda also showed off gameplay for Rage 2. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic future where society has fallen.

Rage 2 is developed by Avalanche Studios (the ones behind the Just Cause series and the Mad Max game from 2015).

Rage 2 will release in spring 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

Bethesda also announced the Rage 2 Collector’s Edition that comes with the game, Steelbook, poster, replica monster truck, in-game content and the Ruckus the Crusher Talking Head.

The Elder Scrolls Online

Bethesda announces upcoming DLC for The Elder Scrolls Online. The first is called Wolfhunter which includes a series of dungeons that have werewolves.

The other DLC is Murkmire which transports players to the home of the Argonians.

The Elder Scrolls VI

That wasn’t the only Elder Scrolls news that Bethesda announced. They also teased The Elder Scrolls VI.

No release date or other details have been announced.

Skyrim: Very Special Edition

Bethesda also poked a bit of fun at themselves but jokingly announcing that Skyrim would be coming to Amazon Echo devices.

Prey: Mooncrash

Bethesda and Arkane Studios also announced DLC for Prey, called Mooncrash.

The DLC for Prey takes place on the moon and introduces new gameplay. Prey: Mooncrash is available now for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. An update for Prey also brings new modes, Story Mode, New Game + and Survival Mode.

Bethesda also announced Prey: Typhon Hunter which is a new VR game that allows players to solve puzzles. Prey: Typhon Hunter is coming later this summer.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood

Bethesda also announced new Wolfenstein game called Wolfenstein: Youngblood. It’s a sequel to Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus and takes place in the 1980s Paris.

You play as BJ Blazkowicz’s twin daughters, Jess and Soph to fight the Nazis in Paris while searching for their father.

Wolfenstein: Youngblood is set to release in 2019 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

That wasn’t the only Wolfenstein game that Bethesda announced. The company also announced Wolfenstein: Cyberpilot where you play a hacker than can control the Nazi’s war-machines and turn them against their masters.

Fallout Shelter

Bethesda also announced that Fallout Shelter is now available for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

The Elder Scrolls Blades

The Elder Scrolls Blades is a new first-person RPG that is completely free. It brings console-quality graphics to mobile devices.

The game will also be available on consoles and VR. The game will feature three modes, The Abyss which has players fight against each other. Arena features one-on-one battles against other players. The Town allows players to go on quests and follow the game’s story.

The Elder Scrolls Blades will be launching this fall for Android and iOS. You’ll be able to pre-register.


Starfield is Bethesda’s first new franchise in over 25 years. No details have been announced other than the teaser that Bethesda released.
