Asus has announced new laptops in their ZenBook and VivoBook series.

Asus ZenBook Pro 15 with ScreenPad

Even though it was previously announced in May, Asus has introduced a version of the ZenBook Pro 15 but now has it has something called the ScreenPad.

Basically, instead of a traditional touchpad, the ZenBook 15 has a 5.5-inch Full HD touchscreen. The laptop can be optioned with a 15.6-inch 1080p touch display or a 15.6-inch 4K touch display.

It has a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti with 4GB of GDDR5 video RAM. It can also be optioned with up to 16GB of RAM and either 1TB/512GB SSD combo or a 512GB/256GB SSD combo.

The ZenBook Pro 15 can be optioned with an 8th-Gen Intel i5, i7 or i9 processor. As for ports, the ZenBook Pro 15 has 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-A ports, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C with Thunderbolt 3 support, audio jack, HDMI 1.4 port, microSD card slot and a DC jack.

There’s also a 71Wh battery and 2 high-quality Harman Kardon stereo speakers, Bluetooth 5.0.

No pricing or availability has been announced.

Asus ZenBook Pro 14

Asus also announced the ZenBook Pro 14 which has the company’s ErgoLift hinge mechanism, optioned with an 8th-Gen Intel i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM. There’s also a Nvidia GTX 1050 Max-Q GPU and a FullHD NanoEdge display with an infrared camera for facial recognition.

The ZenBook Pro 14 will also come with built-in support for Amazon Alexa.

No pricing has been announced but it will be available later this year.

Asus ZenBook S

Asus also announced the ZenBook S which a 13.3-inch ultraportable.

It has a 13.3-inch display and can be optioned with either a Full HD touch display or a 4K touch display.

The ZenBook S comes with either 8GB or 16GB of RAM, an 8th-Gen Intel i5 or i7 processor and a 1TB SSD. You can expect up to 13.5 hours of battery life and it charges up to 60% in just 49 minutes.

There are 2 USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 3, 1 USB 3.1 Type-C and audio jack. All the USB Type-C ports support fast charging, data transfer and display connectivity.

The ErgoLift hinge can bend up to 5.5-degrees for better typing comfort and improved cooling airflow. The ZenBook S comes with Amazon Alexa support.

The ZenBook S will come in two colours, Deep Dive Blue or Burgundy Red with Rose Gold diamond-cut details.

Asus VivoBook S15 and S14

Asus also announced two new laptops in their VivoBook lineup with the VivoBook S15 and S14. The laptops have ErgoLift’s hinges and NanoEdge displays.

The VivoBook S15 and S14 can be optioned with an 8th-Gen Intel i3, i5, i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM. They also come with the Nvidia GTX GeForce MX130 or MX150 GPU.

The S14 and S15 can be optioned with dual storage with up to 2TB HDD and 512GB SSD.

For ports, the S14 and S15 come with 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A port, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, audio jack and microSD card slot.

Asus VivoBook Flip 14

Asus also announced the VivoBook Flip 14, which has a 360-degree flippable display, so then it can be used as a laptop, stand tent or tablet modes.

There’s an 82% screen-to-body ratio which offers a larger screen area. The VivoBook Flip 14 can be optioned with an 8th-Gen Intel i3, i5 or i7 processor with up to 16GB of RAM and up to a 1TB SSD.

For ports, there is an HDMI 1.4, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A, 2 USB 2.0 Type-A, 1 USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C, headphone jack, SD card slot and DC jack.

The VivoBook Flip 14 will come in two colours, Star Grey and Galaxy Blue.

Asus Project Precog

Asus also announced something called, Project Precog which takes two displays and makes it into a laptop with a 360-degree hinge.

It’s a concept notebook that has fully enhanced AI features. Intelligent Touch will automatically recognize the active input device and will change accordingly. For example, depending on where you place your fingers, the device will automatically adjust the keyboard location or even switch to stylus mode when a stylus touches the lower display.

There will also be Microsoft Cortana and Amazon Alexa built-in.
