Google Lens rolling out to camera app on Sony Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact

Back at I/O 2018, Google had announced that it was partnering with OEMs to integrate Google Lens into their respective camera apps and now Sony is rolling it out in their latest flagships.

With the new update, you’ll be able to “browse, and interact with the world around you.” As well as search for products online, copy and paste text and much more.

To start using Google Lens in the camera app on the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact, all you need to do is update the Google app on your device.

Supported languages include English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian.

It is a phased rollout so it may take a bit longer for it to work on your device.
