Google has announced that their Home Max will be making its way to Canada on May 16th.

The device was initially announced at Google’s October 4th event last year and released in the US, back in December.

The Home Max has two tweeters, two 4.5-inch subwoofers, a 3.5mm audio jack to connect your phone or audio players such as a record player, and a USB Type-C port which can be used with an Ethernet adapter.

The speaker also has Bluetooth and Google Cast support. The Google Home Max also has the Google Assistant built-in, so you can ask Google questions like what’s the weather, control your smart home and play music.

The Home Max has something that Google calls Smart Sound which uses artificial intelligence to automatically adapt the music coming from the speaker so it sounds great no matter where its placed in your home.

It’ll even work if you place the Home Max vertically or horizontally. You also have the ability to use two Home Max speakers together to produce stereo sound.

The Home Max will be available from the Google Store and Best Buy in Canada on May 16th for $499 CAD. It’ll be available in two colours, Chalk and Charcoal.
