JBL’s Link Bar is also an Android TV box

JBL and Google have announced a new soundbar that has the Google Assistant built-in, so you can control your smart devices but also play movies and music.

The JBL Link Bar plugs into your TV and doubles as an Android TV-powered streaming box. If you say “Hey, Google” to the soundbar, you can ask to play whatever TV show, movie or music content you want.

The device has seamless HDMI input switching and the JBL Link Bar can access the Google Assistant when your TV is off. You can also use voice commands to switch HDMI inputs on the soundbar.

Google says the JBL Link Bar will be available this fall. No pricing has been announced.
