LG officially announces the G7 ThinQ

LG has officially unveiled their latest smartphone, the G7 ThinQ.

Just like the V30S ThinQ before it, the G7 ThinQ has the same AI technologies such as custom LG specific voice commands for the Google Assistant, AI CAM and more. The Google Assistant can be activated using your voice or the dedicated AI key that is just below the volume rocker.

The phone has a 6.1-inch QHD+ FullVision display with an 19.5:9 aspect ratio and notched display.

The G7 ThinQ is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot. The phone supports wireless charging and a 3,000 mAh battery.

Platinum Gray

The G7 ThinQ has a dual camera setup on the back. Both are 16-megapixels but one is a Super Wide Angle Lens with a 107-degree field of view and the other a 71-degree field of view. The camera will also come with a Portrait Mode.

The phone is capable of recording HDR10 video. The device also has something called Boombox Sound with 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC technology.

The G7 ThinQ has a metal and glass design that is similar to the G6 last year along with IP68 water and dust resistance. There’s also a USB-C port and a headphone jack.

The LG G7 ThinQ will be available in two colours, Platinum Gray and Aurora Black. Two other colour options, Moroccan Blue, Raspberry Rose won’t be available in Canada. 

The LG G7 ThinQ will be available in Canada on June 1st. You’ll be able to get the phone from, Bell, Virgin Mobile, Freedom Mobile, SaskTel, TELUS, WOW! mobile boutique, Fido, Rogers, The Mobile Shop, London Drugs, Walmart, WIRELESSWAVE, Tbooth wireless and Wireless Etc. (Costco Wholesale).

LG says that Canadian pricing will be announced at a later date.
