Roku has announced that their Streaming Stick+ will be coming to Canada this May.

The Streaming Stick+ has a quad-core processor with advanced wireless performance. The device is capable of streaming HD, 4K and 4K HDR.

“The Roku Streaming Stick+ is the best streaming stick we have ever made,” said Chas Smith, general manager of Roku TV and Players. “It is packed with power and features a remote that controls both TV volume and power. It also includes voice search on the remote for consumers to quickly discover new entertainment to watch.”

The Streaming Stick+ will be available for $89.99 CAD from Walmart on May 1st and Best Buy, Amazon.ca, Visions, London Drugs, Staples soon after

In addition, Roku announced that their private listening feature will soon support up to four devices concurrently for Roku players and Roku TVs. You can use the private listening feature using the Roku app on Android and iOS.

This feature will come in the form of an update for Roku OS 8.1.

There are over 5,000 streaming channels available on Roku with 150,000 movies and TV episodes available to watch in Canada.
