Google has announced a new feature for their Duo video call app, which will allow users to leave video messages.

Now when you call someone with Duo and they’re not available to chat, you can leave them a video (or voice) message up to 30 seconds in length. Once you’ve recorded your message, it’ll be sent to your friend or family and they’ll see it in their Duo app.

On the other side, when you’ve received a video message, you can play it and then easily press the “Call now” button to call that person back. Video messages disappear within a day of you first watching them and you can save them locally to your phone.

You can learn more about video messages here.

Video messages in Duo are rolling out for Android and iOS now and will be more widely available worldwide in the next couple of days.
