According to Eurogamer, Microsoft reportedly has asked Playground Games, the developers behind the Forza Horizon series to work on a new Fable game.
The new Fable game is being worked on at Playground Games’ new studio in Leamington Spa, by a team of around 200. The game is still in its early stages of development so we may not hear anything for a while.
The game is said to be a clean slate for the series, which were developed by Lionhead Studios, which Microsoft closed back in 2016.
It was reported back in November 2017, that Playground Games was working on their first non-racing game, which was described as an open-world action RPG.
Eurogamer says that Microsoft might be interested in bringing back the Fable series after they saw Sony’s success with the PlayStation 4 exclusive, Horizon Zero Dawn which had sold 3.4 million copies in just four months.
