TCL Communication has announced when the new BlackBerry Motion will be making its way to Canada.
The BlackBerry Motion is the first BlackBerry smartphone to have an IP67 water and dust resistance, a new 5.5-inch anti-scratch display and the largest battery ever in a BlackBerry (at 4,000 mAh with support for Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 over USB Type-C).
It’s being powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB of RAM. The rear camera is 12-megapixels while the front is 8-megapixels.
The pricing is as follows:
- Bell: $99 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $599 CAD outright
- Telus: $100 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $605 CAD outright
- Koodo: $100 CAD on a Tab Large plan; $605 CAD outright
- SaskTel: $99 CAD on a 2-year premium plan; $599.99 CAD outright
The device is running Android 7.1 Nougat with Android Oreo to come later. It also comes with the usual BlackBerry software like BlackBerry Hub, BlackBerry Calendar, DTEK and more.
There is also a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device which doubles as a home button.
