The game tells “the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan and the Van der Linde gang as they rob, fight and steal their way across the vast and rugged heart of America in order to survive.”
The new trailer confirms that Red Dead Redemption 2 is a prequel despite the ‘2’ in the name, especially since Dutch van der Linde is shown in the trailer, he was the leader of the gang that John Marston hunted down in the 2010’s Red Dead Redemption.

Like I said in an earlier post, the game is set to release in Take-Two Interactive’s fiscal year 2019, which is from April 1st, 2018 to March 31st, 2019.

Red Dead Redemption 2 will release for Xbox One and PS4 in Spring 2018.
