Asus has announced the launch of their ZenFone 4 series, starting with the ZenFone 4 Max in Canada and the US.

The ZenFone 4 Max has a 5.5-inch 720p display, a Snapdragon 430 processor with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and a massive 5,000 mAh battery (hence the Max name). You should be able to get days of battery life with the ZenFone 4 Max.

The phone can also double as a power bank for other devices but requires the use of a OTG cable

The device uses microUSB to charge and has a dual-camera setup with one 13-megapixel sensor and a 120-degree wide-angle lens.

The front-facing camera is 8-megapixels and has a softlight flash. The ZenFone 4 Max is available today for $299 CAD (or $199 USD). In the US, it will be available from ASUS Store, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Newegg, and Abt.

A smaller version of the ZenFone 4 Max with a 5.2-inch will be coming later this year along with the standard ZenFone 4, ZenFone 4 Pro, ZenFone 4 Selfie and ZenFone 4 Selfie Pro.
