Rockstar Games has announced a remastered version of L.A. Noire for the current generation of consoles.
Set against the seedy and violent underbelly of 1940’s Los Angeles, L.A. Noire is the story of decorated veteran and newly minted detective Cole Phelps as he investigates an escalating series of cases inspired by real-world crimes. Each successfully solved case brings Phelps greater success, but also brings him closer to the dark criminal heart of post-war L.A.
The Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of the game will feature the complete original game and all it’s DLC and a range technically enhancements including enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles and high-resolution textures. The new version will play natively in 1080p for Xbox One and PS4 and in 4K on Xbox One X and PlayStation 4 Pro.
L.A. Noire will be coming to the Nintendo Switch with specific enhancements to include the Joy-Con controllers and HD rumble. You’ll also be able to use the Switch’s touchscreen for your detective work.
Rockstar also announced The VR Case Files for the HTC Vive, which will bring seven cases from the game that have been rebuilt with virtual reality in mind by blending breathtaking action with true detective work to “deliver an unprecedented interactive experience.”
All of the new versions of L.A. Noire will release on November 14th.
