Google set to reveal Android O’s name on August 21st

Google has announced that they’re going to be revealing Android O at an event in New York City at 2:40 PM ET.

Rumors have suggested that Android O’s name will likely be Oreo since Google has a tendency to name Android release codenames after confectioneries (aka sweets). This wouldn’t be the first time that Google has named an Android update after a brand name, the last was back in 2013 with Android 4.4 KitKat.

Also on the 21st, we’ll also see Google reveal their latest Android statue for their Android garden at their Mountain View headquarters and that Android O(reo) will be rolling out as well (to the Pixel and Nexus devices).
