One of the big new features for Google Home that was announced at I/O 2017, was the addition of hands-free calling. Now it’s rolling out to Google Home users in Canada and the US.
With the new feature, you’ll be able to just say “Hey Google, call mom” and if you have multi-user setup, Google Home will call your mom rather than your significant others.
You can even call a business and your Google Home will lookup the number. If you receive a call from someone using their Google Home, it will appear as an unknown number or no Caller ID.
While in a call on your Google Home, you can still talk to the Google Assistant, just by tapping the top of the Google Home and it will put the person you’re talking to on hold.
However, Google Home can’t call 911 and can only call people and businesses located in Canada and the US. Hands-free calling is rolling out now.
