The Sims 4 initially launched for PC in 2014, with a Mac release soon after. The last Sims game to launch on consoles was The Sims 3 for Xbox 360, PS4 and Wii in 2010 and then The Sims 3 Pets in 2011.
EA says that Maxis and the team at Blind Squirrel Games will be taking a look at the current lineup of Sims 4 DLC and decide which ones to bring over to consoles. There will also be periodic game updates (like the PC/Mac versions have been getting) that add some new content and features.
The game will launch worldwide on November 17th but if you preorder the game now, you’ll get the Perfect Patio Stuff pack which includes hot tubs and bonus outdoor decor. The Standard Edition will cost $64.99 CAD/ $49.99 USD.
There will also be The Sims 4 Deluxe Party Edition, which will cost $79.99 CAD/ $59.99 USD, which includes extra content such as a Flaming Tiki Bar, costumes, silly animal hat and more and you’ll also get access to the game on November 14th, if you preorder the Deluxe Party Edition.
If you’re an EA Access subscriber on Xbox One, you’ll be able to access the game for free starting November 9th until the game launches on November 17th.
