After being delayed by a few months, the Android Wear 2.0 update is finally making it’s way to the Asus ZenWatch 3.
When I reviewed the ZenWatch 3 earlier this year, I called it “the best Android Wear watch so far” but I said that Android Wear still needs some work until the 2.0 update came out and now here it is.
The new update brings features like the Google Assistant so you can ask questions or issue commands like setting alarms, asking about the weather, updating shopping lists, or navigating to destinations.
In addition, you’ll be able to directly access the Google Play Store with the Android Wear 2.0 update on the ZenWatch 3, so then you won’t need to rely on your smartphone to install apps or watchfaces.
With the new update, it also gives users improved message response options so you can respond via your voice, typing or handwriting on the watch. There are also more highly-customized watchfaces which can show you more information like stock prices, appointments and fitness data.
For existing ZenWatch 3 owners, you should see the update soon and you can manually check via settings and tapping on system updates.
