The new Moto GamePad and JBL SoundBoost 2 aren’t the only new Moto Mods that Motorola is working on for their Z lineup. Back at a press event in Ghana, Motorola showed off a Moto 360 Camera Moto mod.
We don’t have much information on the megapixel count, availability beyond Ghana or even price but TechDroider did end up getting some photos of the new Moto Mod.
The Mod looks like it’s a 360-degree camera attached to one of the Moto Style Shells you can buy for the Moto Z series. Meaning that it will attach using the 16-pin connector on the back of the Moto Z devices.
And famed leaker, Evan Blass (@evleaks) has a much clearer image of the new 360-degree camera Moto Mods.
But it seems like that isn’t the only Moto Mods that was shown off at that press event. TechDroider has details about a few other Mods, the first of which is the ROKR Moto Mod which is a speaker mod that is being made by Marshall.
The second Mod is the Studio Moto Mod which adds an external microphone and is also made by Marshall.
There will also be a DTV Mod which is being made by DirecTV (the American cable provider owned by AT&T).
Another mod is the DSLR Mod which turns your phone into a DSLR with interchangeable lens support. The Action Mod Mod adds a rotatable camera to your device.
It’s important to note that some of these Mods are concepts and haven’t been formerly announced as actual Moto Mods. As mentioned earlier, there isn’t any pricing or availability for the 360-degree camera Moto Mod in Canada and we’ve reached out to Motorola for more info.
