After being announced at MWC 2017, Samsung’s successor to the Galaxy TabPro S, the Galaxy Book is officially here in Canada.
The Galaxy Book is available in two screen sizes, a 10.6-inch FHD TFT display (with a resolution of 1920×1080), and a 12-inch Super AMOLED FHD display (with a resolution of 2160×1440).
The Galaxy Book 10.6-inch is being powered by a 7th Gen Intel Core m3 processor at 2.6Ghz. It also has 4GB of RAM and either 64 or 128GB SSD plus a microSD card slot, and 1 USB Type-C port.
The Galaxy Book 12-inch is powered by the 7th Gen Intel Core i5 processor at 3.1 Ghz. It also has 8GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD plus a microSD card slot and two USB Type-C ports.
The 10.6-inch Galaxy Book only has a 5-megapixel front-facing camera while the 12-inch Galaxy Book has a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
Both models have 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.1. You can get up to 9 hours of battery life on the 10.6-inch Galaxy Book and up to 11 hours on the 12-inch Galaxy Book and both support Samsung Fast Charging over USB Type-C.
Both Galaxy Book models also come with a keyboard and an advanced S Pen. The 10.6-inch Galaxy Book is running Windows 10 Home while the 12-inch model is running Windows 10 Pro.
The devices also come with Samsung Flow, which allows you to easily switch, or a pause an activity on your smartphone and continue on your Galaxy Book. You can also unlock your Galaxy Book with your smartphone.
The 10.6-inch Galaxy Book goes for $899 CAD while the 12-inch Galaxy Book is $1,899 CAD. Both models come in silver.
