Snapchat has introduced a new way to bring their filter to beyond just your face, with World Lenses.
World Lenses adds augmented reality (AR) features to any scene through the app’s viewfinder. The new features allows users to place 3D objects that if you walk around them, you’ll actually see all sides of as if it was actually there.
Snap wants users to “paint the world with 3D experiences”. To use some of the World Lenses, all you have to do is flip to the rear-facing camera and you’ll be able to cycle through the available Lenses, which news ones will be updated on a daily basis.
An update that enables World Lenses is rolling out now for Android and iOS.
