Not everyone can draw, and while I’m not the greatest artist out there, I can at least draw more than just a stick figure.
Well, good news for those who can’t draw, Google has launched a new web-based tool called AutoDraw, that uses machine learning with drawings from talented artists to help you draw.
AutoDraw works on your phone or desktop and the interface is very similar to MSPaint. To start drawing, just simply drag your finger or cursor into some sort of shape and Google’s algorithms will try to figure out what you’re trying to draw. Then it will give you suggestions from their database for possible matches.
Once you select one, it will replace your squiggly lines with something much nicer. And if you have some artistic skills, you can submit your own drawings into that database, here.
AutoDraw is based on of one of Google’s A.I. Experiments called “Quick, Draw!”, which basically playing pictionary with Google’s A.I. algorithms.
With AutoDraw, Google is hoping to make drawing more accessible and fun for everyone.
